We inspect every household and offer a variety of double, twin or single rooms. Some are within 5-7 minutes walk of Princes Street, others 20-30 minutes. A few are only a short walk from the theatres and concert halls. To see photos of example rooms please go to the Rooms page.

Prices range according to distance from the centre of town and the quality of the facilities provided. A rough guide: 5-10 minutes walk from Princes Street costs from £80-£100; 10-20 minutes walk from £60-£80; and 20-30 minutes walk from £50-£60. These prices are for two people per room per night including continental breakfast. Single rooms cost from £28-£45 per night.

About the Edinburgh Festival

During the month of August, Edinburgh transforms into an enormous stage, hosting a myriad events of all types. The Edinburgh International Festival brings world class performers for concerts, operas, theatre and dance.

The Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the world, providing theatre, experimental or otherwise, stand-up comedy, satire, music, mime and movement.

In addition, there are the Book Festival and the Jazz & Blues Festival. The Film Festival Festival, is held in June (see table for 2010 dates).

The festival is staged in venues across the city including galleries, theatres, museums, jazz clubs and tents. Open-air events are held everywhere from the castle esplanade to the High Street to street corners.

Edinburgh itself, which has been designated a UN World Heritage Site, is an architectural treat, from its majestic mediaeval castle that dominates the city skyline, to the Georgian splendour of the New Town.
