Festival Beds matches visitors with bed and (continental) breakfast accommodation
in private homes in the centre of Edinburgh - for the month of August only.

During this festival month, Edinburgh hosts an array of top international stars in concert, opera,
theatre and dance. An added delight is the Fringe, which puts on theatre, experimental or otherwise,
stand-up comedy, satire, jazz, mime and movement. Also not to be missed are the
Book Festival, the Film Festival and the Jazz Festival.

The festival is staged in venues across the city including galleries, theatres, museums,
jazz clubs and tents. There are open-air events from street corner theatre to the impressive
military tattoo. Edinburgh has a lot to offer her visitors from the majestic medieval castle that
dominates the Old Town to the Georgian splendour of the New Town.
Thousands visit Edinburgh every year for these unique experiences.

Some are within 5-7 minutes walk of Princes Street, others 20-30 minutes.
A few are only a short walk from the theatres and concert halls.

Prices range according to distance from the centre of town and the quality of the facilities
provided. A rough guide: 5-10 minutes walk from Princes Street costs from £75-£90;
10-20 minutes walk from £60-£75; and 20-30 minutes walk from £50-£60.
These prices are for two people per room per night including continental breakfast.
Single rooms cost from £25-£45 per night.

Hosts with free parking are usually more than 20 minutes walk from Princes Street.
